It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Matthews (Lewisville, North Carolina), who passed away on June 7, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyd Monroe and Ethel Cruise Matthews; and his sisters, Joyce Dalton and Faye Gardner. He is survived by: his wife Sherry Matthews; his children, Valerie Woodard (Don) of Lewisville, Vilia "Jenny" Jenevieve McClearen (Mike) of Winston-Salem, Terri Zappala-Morrow (James) of Philadelphia, PA, Todd Matthews (Sonia) of Winston-Salem, Miles Matthews of Winston-Salem and Jacob Matthews-Zappala of Lewisville; his grandchildren, Jackson, Kaitlyn, Madelyn, Julianna, James and Cooper; his mother-in-law Dorothy Wilson; and his sisters, Brenda Hill of Fancy Gap, VA and Dawn McGrady of Mt. Airy, NC.
