He was predeceased by: his parents, Bishop Russell Vaughn and Mary Frances Wirtz Vaughn; his siblings, Mary Cookston, Pat York, Eddie and Jerry Vaughn; and his siblings-in-law, Kathy, Audrey Vaughn and Terry Stewart.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Vaughn; his daughters, Paula Clampitt (Gaius) and Karen Wooten of Clemmons; his grandchildren, Chris Clampitt, Ally and Matt Wooten; his siblings, Ronnie Vaughn (Cheryl), Donnie Vaughn (Jackie), Mike Vaughn and Brenda Stewart; his siblings-in-law, Pat Vaughn and Bill York; and his friend Willie Shelton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel (6685 Shallowford Rd, Lewisville, NC 27023). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
