He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanton William Coleman and Ada Montgomery Stewart Coleman; his brother Timothy John Coleman; his sister-in-law Angela Coleman; his father-in-law Robert Johnson; and his brother-in-law Ronnie Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Robin Johnson Coleman; his children, Jerremy Coleman of Lexington, Brian Coleman of Winston Salem, Mark Thompson (Laura) of Lexington and Heather Pennell (John) of Winston Salem; his grandchildren, Olivia Coleman, Dylan Coleman, Emma Thompson, Isaiah Pennell, Kolton Pennell and Bella Winfrey; his siblings, Ted Coleman (Theresa) of Lexington, Robert Coleman of Durham, Elmo Coleman of Durham, Alvin Coleman (Doris) of Bahama, Lora Brewer (Keith) of Reidsville, Carol Myers (Phillip) of Oak Ridge, Anita Schaffer (Steve) of Durham, Beth Decherd (Mark) of Charlotte and Connie Cox (Wendell) of Roxboro; his mother-in-law Shirley Johnson; his brother-in-law Tim Johnson of Winston Salem; and his aunt Linda Coleman of Davidson. He is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Friedberg Moravian Church (2178 Friedberg Church Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27127). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
