He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Bunton and Ruth Farthing Bunton; and his wife Gladys Estep Bunton. He is survived by: his daughter Angela Jones of Lexington; his brother Fred Bunton (Mildred) of Sugar Grove; and his grandson Matthew Jones.
