He was predeceased by: his parents, Lamberth Bobo and Elizabeth Beets Martin Bobo; his son Kenneth Bobo; and his siblings, Mary B. Richards, George, Leonard, Willie, Thomas, Truman, Robert and L. B. Bobo.
He is survived by: his wife Carrie Mae Bobo; his sons, Alvin Bobo, Jr., Michael Bobo (Shirley), James and Sis; and his sisters, Pearlee McMillian, Kathleen Pittman (Carlton, Sr.), Vernice Lindsay and Fannie Mae Yarbrough. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great- grandchildren.
