With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Artie Herbert Burkhart of Lexington, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 7, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arvil Wilson Burkhart and Frances McCulloch Burkhart; his son Ashly Burkhart; and his sister Sharon Burkhart Smith. He is survived by: his wife Georgeanna Sellers; his sister Sheila Burkhart Cannon; his daughters, Shelley Burkhart Lister (Greg) and Amy Burkhart Smith (Tracey); his grandchildren, Josh Clifton (Paige), Ashton Burkhart, Jessie Bergeron, Ali Smith and Ari Smith; and his great grandchildren, Titus Clifton, Silas Clifton and Ava Riley Burkhart. He is also survived by close friends; and many other family members, friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Artie's memory to Grace Episcopal Church or Hospice of Davidson County.
