He was predeceased by: his father Arthur Lee Causey; his wife Carol Ward Causey; his daughters, Rebecca Causey Bean and Felicia C. Causey; and his sister Donna Ward.

He is survived by: his mother Donnie Faye S. Causey Lovett; his sons, Austin L. Causey, Jr. and Ricky Allen Ward; his grandchildren, Taylor Bean, Kaleigh Bean, Michael Ward, Madison Ward, Natilee Causey and Lilah Causey; his brothers, Ricky Causey (Sandy) and Jerry Sumerlin; and his friend Tiffany Medlin.
