He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Ernest and Mary Belle Garwood Everhart; and his siblings, Gray Everhart and Shelby Everhart Brown. He is survived by: his children, Ben Everhart (Gina) of Winston-Salem and Diane Everhart Murphy (Steve) of Raleigh; and his grandchildren, Eryn and Zach Murphy of Raleigh.
