It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernice Lee Leonard of Lexington, North Carolina, who passed away on July 17, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin George Ryder and Addie Dale Ryder; her husband Coney Leonard; her grandson Nicholas Leonard; and her siblings, Otis Ryder, Tommy Ryder, Christine Rowe and Lucille Allen.
She is survived by: her children, Johnny Colin Leonard (Jerrie) of Linwood, Connie Patricia Bowers (Charles) of Lexington and Julie Maria Kepley (Mike) of Lexington; her sisters, Juanita Yates of Thomasville and Hazel Voncannon of Troy; and her grandchildren, Joshua Bowers, Logan Bowers (Hilary), Leeann Hill (Chet), Tori Jordan (Josh), Chessie Kepley and Colbin Kepley (Lizzy).
