He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee James and Lizzie Hailey James; his daughter Teresa James Tate; and his siblings, Charles Franklin James (Bud), Archie James (Art) and Pelma Sue James.
He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Pauline Hanes James; his son Randy James (Vivian) of Lexington; his grandchildren, Misty Jones (Brian) and Ryan James; his great grandchild Tyler Jones; and his brothers, Roger James of Lexington, Woodie James (Vickie) of Lexington, Mark James (Carolyn) of Lexington and Clifford James (Gail) of Lexington. He is also survived by Nieces and Nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Abbotts Creek Rehabilitation Center.
