He was predeceased by: his parents, Giles Giles and Ruth Leonard Giles; his son Bobby Willis Giles Jr.; his siblings, Sarah Frances Copple, Emma Irene Giles, Billy Cleveland Giles, Curtis Alfred Giles and Walter Dermont Giles; his great grandchild Jessica Dawn Greier; and his son-in-law Jim Pruitt.
He is survived by: his wife Audrey Long Giles of Clapps Nursing Home; his children, Sandra Pruitt of Lexington, Mark Giles (Joan) of West Columbia, SC and Elizabeth Ray (Chris) of Lexington; his stepchildren, Johnny Long (Ann) of Asheboro, Larry Long (Mickie) of Trinity, Darrell Long (Melissa) of Archdale and Melissa Long Ryan (John) of Randleman; and his grandchildren, Robert, Christopher, Ariel, Annabel and Carter. He is also survived by 7 step-grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 15 step great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Piedmont Funeral Home (405 S Main St, Lexington, NC 27292). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
