He was predeceased by: his parents, George Mason and Ola Haney Mason; his siblings, Eugene Mason, Charles Mason, Howard Mason, Olene Guffey, Helen Hornaday, Della Grant and Barbara Kennedy; and his siblings-in-law, Doyle Day, Gene Bryant, Edna Mason and Ann Mason.
He is survived by: his wife Claudiette Karen Mullins Mason; his children, Tony Mason, Kenneth Mason, Shawn Cutlip (Amanda) of Lexington, Aaron Gray (Tiffany) of Tyro and Candace Erford (Robbie); his siblings, Jack Mason (Kitty) of Archdale, Mary Lou Day of Trinity, Ann Hooper (Johnny), Gertrude Cecil of High Point, Naomi Mason of Dunn and Bessie Bryant; his sister-in-law Carolyn (Terry); and his grandchildren, Tiffany (Nick), Troy (Shekinyah), Brandon, Chase, Savannah, Eli, Hayden and Penelope. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
