She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Payne and Maggie Sink Payne; and her husband L. C. Beckerdite, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Luke Beckerdite (Peggy) and Ann Hartman (Mark); and her grandchildren, Adam (Stacey), Abby and Aaron (Kelsey).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Sweet Dreams Bed Ministry at Canaan United Methodist Church in Charlotte's honor.
