She was predeceased by: her husband Harry Grier, Jr.; her grandson Zachary; her siblings, Wilma Lüken, Elisabeth Ginnow and Horst Gäthje; and her friend Anna Ullius.
She is survived by: her children, Dedy Baker (Joseph), Niels Grier and Katja Mulligan (Tyler); her grandchildren, Andrew Berrier, Elise Berrier, Austin Berrier, Kathryn Grier, Conor Mulligan (Emily), Brinna Mulligan and Trevor Mulligan; and her great grandchild Lily Mulligan.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (300 S Main St, Lexington, NC 27292). Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 4:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to: First Presbyterian Church, 15 West 3rd Ave., Lexington, NC 27292 or a cancer foundation of your choice.
