He was predeceased by: his parents, Dallas Austin Ward and Alma Grubb Russell; his stepfather Von Russell; and his brothers, Raeford and Rondal Lee Ward.
He is survived by: his sister Paulette Badgett (Harry "Chip") of Denton, NC; his niece Jane Felts of Salisbury, NC; and his great-nephew Zach Young of Salisbury.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Briggs Funeral Home (103 E Salisbury St, Denton, NC 27239). A funeral service was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
