He was predeceased by: his parents, Maston Vernon Cartrette and Pauline Cribb Cartrette; and his sister Bonnie. He is survived by: his wife Staretta Williamson Cartrette; his children, Brent Cartrette (Jenny) and Erica Cartrette (Chris Forrest); his siblings, Paul Cartrette, Gene Cartrette, Pat Britt and Margie Cribb; and his granddaughter Jayden Cartrette.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church to continue the work that was so dear to Darrell's heart.
