He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ray Shelton and Lattie Bell Simpkins Shelton; and his siblings, Arleta DeHart, James Shelton and Johnny Shelton.
He is survived by: his wife Pamela Williams Shelton; his children, Brian Shelton of Nashville, TN, Crystal Smith of Hillsville, VA and James Shelton of Rockwell; his brother Paul Shelton of Locust; and his grandchildren, Haley Perry, Ashleigh Spangler, Matthew Shelton and Alan Shelton.
