It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dennis Kerr Brock (Lexington, North Carolina), born in Clinton, North Carolina, who passed away on November 6, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Brock and Hattie Holder Brock; his siblings, Dewey Brock, Mildred McGee and Becky Long; and his half-siblings, Albert "Buddy" Brock, Elizabeth Schessow, Ethel Mae "Candy" Bivens and Kathalene "Pete" Norris.
He is survived by: his wife Shelby Chester Brock; his sister Ruby Smith of Wilmington; his children, Dennis Brock (Barbara) of Winston-Salem, Debra Day (Mike) of Greensboro and Cindy Matthews of Cary; and his stepchildren, Michael New, David New, Sammy New, Danny New and Nori New Jackson. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and many nieces.
The family requests, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to Hospice of Davidson County, or Davidson County Animal Shelter.
