Doris Walser Adkins Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Doris Walser Adkins (Lexington, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 23, 2026 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wade Arlin Walser and Kate Jane Shoaf Walser; her husband Henry Luther Adkins; her son Scott Arlin Adkins; her granddaughter Natalie Dawn Adkins; and her siblings, L. V. Walser, Melvin Walser, Bill Walser, Toby Walser and Patty Phelps.

She is survived by: her sons, Steven Luther Adkins (Kathy) and Douglas James Adkins (Kathy); her brother Talbert Walser; her sister-in-law Carolyn; her grandchildren, Stacy Byram (Shawn), Carey Adkins, Tiffany Richardson (Beau), Mary Katherine Adkins (Vinny), Elizabeth Anne Adkins (Drake), Jonathan Adkins (Katie), Aaron Adkins and Sam Adkins; her great grandchildren, Abbi, Zach, Haley (Grant), Liam, Kade, Kaila, Emea and Oliver; and her great great grandchild Everette. She is also survived by one great-grandson on the way; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
