She was predeceased by: her parents, Haven L. Koonts and Ada Athay Koonts; her husband Spencer Tripp, Sr.; her siblings, Jimmy Koonts, John Koonts, Joe Koonts, Grace Jenkins, Louise Leonard and Ann Thompson; and her granddaughter Candace Tripp Schultz.
She is survived by: her children, Teresa Watkins (Skeeter) of Denton, Gloria Lanier (Ricky), Cathy Everhart (Steve) and Spencer Tripp, Jr. (Missy); her brother Jerry Koonts of Lexington; and her grandchildren, Angela Cates, Tiffany Lawson, Danielle Watkins, Ashley Watkins, Travis Lanning, Jessica Lowe, Brandon Herr, Keri Lambert, Nathan Tripp, Haven Everhart, Bradley Everhart, Corey Everhart, Andrew Everhart, Ashley Pastrana and Bradley Allred.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Forest Hill Memorial Park (1307 W Old Hwy 64, Lexington, NC 27295).
