He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Curtis Edwin Leonard and Judith Beck Leonard; his wife Joy Brace Leonard; his daughter Kristen Livengood (Daniel) of Lexington; his sister Susan Buffkin (Jeff Flowers) of Lexington; his nephew Jason Buffkin of Asheville; and his grandchildren, Christian, Serenity, Lillian and Presley.
