She is survived by: her son Sammy Mickel (Missy); her stepchildren, Jimmy Mickel and Connie Mickel; and her grandchildren, Christopher Laney, Dylan Phillips (Brooke), Matthew Laney (Lydia), Ashlyn Laney (Cory), Samantha Salazar (Jesus), Sarah Mickel, Cindy Mickel, Ronald Mickel and Johnny Mickel. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Madison Heights Free Will Baptist Church or Hospice of Davidson County.
