It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elizabeth Thomas (Lexington, North Carolina), born in Davidson, North Carolina, who passed away on October 25, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alonzo Lee Smith and Hester Mae Watkins Smith; her husband Willie Lee Thomas, Sr.; and her siblings, T. J. Jefferson, David Smith, Roosevelt Smith, Clyde Smith and Martha Lee McNeair.
She is survived by: her children, Willie Lee Thomas, Jr. (Peggy), Roosevelt Thomas (Althea), Hester A. Brodie Aaron (Timothy) and Kelesia Bennett Thomas; and her sisters, Morphine Young, Cornelia Geer (Richard) and Delia Smith-Davis. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Roberts Funeral Service (701 N Main St, Lexington, NC 27292). Visitation was held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (15 E 3rd Ave, Lexington, NC 27292). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at the South Lexington City Cemetery South Lexington.
