It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Leonard Briggs (Lexington, North Carolina), who passed away on January 23, 2026, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Oscar Leonard and Jessie Hunt Leonard; her husband Bobby Jim Briggs; her daughter Suzanne Myers; and her siblings, Colon Leonard, Doris Hill, Daphene Hunt and Nelva Jean Gallimore.
She is survived by: her children, Bobby Timothy Briggs and Gwen Koontz (Larry); and her grandson Sean Mabe. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
