He is survived by: his son Fred Fields, Jr. (Edith) of Galax, VA; his grandsons, Brandon Fields and Michael Fields of Galax, Virginia; his great grandchildren, Kylie Fields of Haysi, Virginia, Charlie Fields of Haysi, Virginia and Colson Fields of Haysi, Virginia; his siblings, Roy Fritz of Winston Salem, Barney Fritz (Bonnie) of Denton and Sharon Doss (Ralph) of Denton, Alice; and his niece Agnes Deckard (Sissy) of Scotland Neck. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; and numerous extended family members and special friends.
