He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Gahagan and Blanche Hyde Wingler; and his sister Wanda Gahagan. He is survived by: his wife Revonda Gahagan; his son Michael Gahagan; his sister Janet Gahagan (Scott Shirhall); and his sibling's children, Debbie Clegg, Kesia Parker, Elisha Thanna McLawhorn and Duston Haulk. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.
