We are sad to announce that on June 25, 2024, at the age of 94, Gertrude Cecil of Lexington, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Mason and Ola Haney Mason; her husband David Cecil; her children, Carrol West and Angela West; her grandson Russell West; and her siblings, Eugene, Charles, Cecil, Howard, Olene, Helen, Mary Lou, Della Mae and Barbara.

She is survived by: her siblings, Naomi, Bessie, Ann (Johnny) and Jack Mason (Kitty); her grandchildren, Angela, Tim and Darla; and her sister-in-law Claudiette Mullins-Mason. She is also survived by six great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
