He is survived by: his wife Sandra Hedrick Johnson; his children, Ronald Shea Johnson (Corrine), Christopher Shawn Johnson (Brittany) and Sheree Johnson Lanier; his siblings, Jerrell Truman Johnson, Loal Johnson, Donnie Johnson (Audrey) and Doris Vanover (Lee); and his grandchildren, Christian Alexander Lanier, Kristen Grace Lanier, Andrew Tyler Lanier, Harleigh Jane Johnson, Katie Ann Johnson, Jeremiah Bradley Johnson, Isaiah Scott Mahala, Elijah Daniel Mullins and Lexi Nevaeh Kimbrell.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 11th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Piedmont Funeral Home (405 S Main St, Lexington, NC 27292). A graveside service was held on Monday, May 11th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Memorial Evangelical and Reformed Church Cemetery (3806 E Old Hwy 64, Lexington, NC 27292).
