He is survived by: his wife Billie Ann Bollinger Kerley; his daughters, Christie Beighley Brookshire (Christopher) of Sophia and Catherine "Beth" Bender (Gregory) of Asheboro; his grandchildren, Ariel Elizabeth Bratz, Samuel "Sammy" Teague Bender, Max Doutt Bender and Raena Doutt Bender; and his sister Linda Katherine Goodnite of Pasadena, Maryland..
