He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Fortner Koonts; his children, Evin Ferrell Koonts (Nancy) of Lexington, SC and Amy Koonts Beck (Mike) of Lexington; his grandchildren, Casey, Carly, Cole, Tyler and Maggie; and his great grandchildren, Addison, Riley and John.
