He is survived by: his wife Ann Fortner; and his children, Angela Hartley (Terry), Chris Fortner (Kay) and Kim Fortner.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Macedonia Building Fund, Hospice of Davidson County, or Shriners Children's Hospital.
