He is survived by: his wife Shelby Leonard Orrell; his children, James Carlton Orrell Jr. (Amy) of Winston Salem and Tammy Surratt (Tim) of Lexington; his brother Glenn Orrell (Anne) of Linwood; his grandchildren, Jordan Surratt (Hannah), Kacy Jones (Colby), Madison Orrell and Tanner Orrell; and his great grandchildren, Beecher Surratt, Brighton Surratt and Beau Surratt.
