It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joanna Thomas Gibby of Lexington, North Carolina, who passed away on June 14, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Perry Thomas and Eva Elizabeth Thomas; her husband Vaughn Everett Gibby; her son Bobby Gibby; and her siblings, Wayne, David, Ted Thomas, Carlena Millagan, June Lindsay and Julia Cromer.
She is survived by: her sons, Don Gibby (Tammy) and Gary Gibby; her siblings-in-law, Barbara Thomas and Harold Lindsay; her grandchildren, Bradley, Mathew, Jason Gibby (Tamara) and Meredith Dixon (Logan); and her great grandchildren, Nicole (Jacob), Abby and Mallory.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Davidson Funeral Home (301 N Main St, Lexington, NC 27292). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Pilgrim Reformed Church (797 Pilgrim Church Rd, Lexington, NC 27295).
