He is survived by: his father John Morgan Patterson; his wife Anna Irene Brady Patterson; his children, John Lucas Patterson, Derek Jay Patterson and Mallory Drew Patterson; and his siblings, Matthew Patterson and Jennifer Patterson Jackson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
