It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Pinkston Essick of Lexington, North Carolina, who passed away on March 14, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Edith Shelton Essick; his parents, Frank Clifford and Mary Magdalene Hanes Essick; and his brothers, Alfred Essick and Clifford Essick.
He is survived by: his children, Dwayne Essick of Davidson County, NC, Phillip Essick (Jackie) of Davidson County, NC, Michael Essick of Davidson County, NC and Sharon Essick of Pender County, NC; his grandchildren, Hannah Essick of Lexington, NC and John Essick (Rebecca); and his great grandchild Lanie Emilia Essick.
