He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Frederick Poetzinger Sr. and Eunice Slusser Poetzinger; his wife Brenda A. Poetzinger; his children, Susie Smith (John) of Lexington, Robert "Bob" Poetzinger of Florida and James "Jim" Poetzinger of Connecticut; his stepsons, Daryl Page (Alana) of Virgnia and Dale Page (Jackie) of Kernersville; his sister Betty Shumaker (Don) of North Carolina; his grandchildren, Jonathan Kepley, Connor Poetzinger and Grace Poetzinger Terrin (Gabe); his stepgrandchildren, Jessica Page Callahan (Mason) and Meadow Raelynn Page; and his stepgreat-grandchild Braylee Callahan.
