He was predeceased by : his parents, John R. Tripp and Mary Stokes Tripp; his wife Betty J. Tripp; and his siblings, Carl Tripp, Mary Stallings and Gaynell Tripp.

He is survived by : his children, Steven Tripp (Leisha) and Kay Tripp of Charlotte; his grandchildren, Corbin Tripp and Caleb Tripp; his great grandchildren, Brier Tripp and Kaylee Tripp; and his brother Spencer Tripp (Dorothy) of Lexington.

A graveside service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Forest Hill Memorial Park (1307 W Old Hwy 64, Lexington, NC 27295).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
