He is survived by: his children, Glenda Hanes Essic (Charles) of Lexington and Johnny Ray Hanes (Lisa) of Lexington; his grandchildren, Travis Essic, Krysta Beaureguard (Michael) and Keely Baynard; his great grandchildren, Kolton, Kora, Thea and Gwen; his siblings, Raeford Hanes of Lexington, Martha Stevens of Lexington, Charlotte Massingale of Lexington, Darlene Killian of Lexington and Francis Cole of Ohio; and his pet Rainy.
