Joseph Parker McLendon Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Parker McLendon of Lexington, North Carolina, who passed away on June 3, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester McLendon and Mary Todd McLendon; his siblings, Margarette McLendon, Hilda M. Cardaci, Myrtle M. Martin, Ollna M. Paulk, Juanita M. Mitchell, Sylvester McLendon, Jr., John H. McLendon, Mary Frances M. Evans and Madge M. Jones; his wife Frances Boyett McLendon; his former wife Joanne Wright McLendon; and his daughter Novella M. Tyler.

He is survived by: his daughters, Martha M. Hutchens (Terry) and Sheryl M. Mohn (Terry); his granddaughters, Donna Hood and Cindy Pike (Rob); and his great grandchildren, Zachary, Nathan, Ben Ziros, Joshua and Ella Pike. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
