With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joyce Howell of Lexington, North Carolina, who passed away on February 14, 2026 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Estelle Murphy Dillahunt and William Jennings Dillahunt Jr.; and her brothers, Ben, Ray and William.
She is survived by: her husband Ray Howell of Lexington; her children, Lynn (Roger) of Timberlake, NC, Della (Ryan) of Clayton, NC, Knight of Swansboro, NC and Ray Nance (Sang) of Lexington; her grandchildren, Benjamin (Jessica), Samuel, Hannah, Ella Rae and Parker; and her great grandchild Zoey.
