With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kay Cook Hedrick of Lexington, North Carolina, born in Liberty, South Carolina, who passed away on December 30, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Robert W Bailes and Grace Riddle Bailes; and her former husband Rev. Ingle O. Cook. She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Clinard (Ronnie) of High Point, Isabelle Mize (Billy) of Lexington and Douglas Cook (Geoffrey Slater) of Durham; her grandchildren, Dr. Christopher Collins (Stacy) of Wake Forest, Geoffrey Collins (Mandy) of Ocala, FL, Jennifer Thompson (Eddie) of Lexington, Brad Clinard (Hope) of High Point, Joshua Clinard of Durham, Hailey Mize of Advance and Candace Mutter (Bronson) of Myrtle Beach; her sister Elizabeth Coleman (Robert) of Travelers Rest, SC; her close friend Joann Hedrick; her husband Dale Bryce Hedrick; her sister-in-law Minnie Conrad; and her stepchildren, Christopher Hedrick (Angie) of Troutman, Thomas Hedrick (Keri) of Lexington and Dr. Cynthia H. King (David) of Durham. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
