He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Leonard and Edna Curry Leonard; his aunt Nettie; his uncle George Shoaf; his wife Carolyn Cope Leonard; and his sons, Steven Kenneth Leonard and Andrew Shea Leonard.
He is survived by: his children, Jill Kirby (Louis) and Jody Leonard; his grandchildren, John Walser Jr., Jennifer Wilson (Rob), Jordan Leonard, Sarah Yeakley and Jailyn Cook (James); his great grandchildren, Macie Emerson, Victoria Leonard, Micah Leonard, Quinn Norman Cook and Claire Cook; his siblings, Bernard Leonard and Patricia Perryman (Jimmy); and his close friends, Sonya, Buck Merritt and Dr. Max Walser. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
