He was predeceased by: his parents, William Elmer Ball and Clara Johnson Ball; his siblings, Bruce Ball (Jean), Wilbert Ball (Ruby), Donald Ball (Angie), Ralph Ball (Jean), Laurene Leonard (Grover), Auvilla Nifong (Marvin), Nellie Frances Johnson (Vernon) and Clara Mae Weisner (Odell); and his brother-in-law Woody Weisner.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Guy Ball; his stepdaughters, Kimberly Carmichael (James) and Amy Woods (Butch); his sister Evelyn Weisner; his grandsons, Zachary Pendergrass (Rebecca), Clay Carmichael (Lauren), Cory Carmichael (Cassidy) and Mason Pendergrass; and his great grandchildren, Greer, Presley and Oliver.
In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to Midway Methodist Church, 9795 S. Old Highway 52, Lexington NC 27295.
