He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronell Blane Towery and Ivey Faye Snider Towery; his brothers, Ronnie and Jim Towery; and his grandson Jake Denton.
He is survived by: his close friend Patricia Tetter; his daughters, Jennifer Towery (Phillip Cody), Michele Hunt (Charlie Stamey), Kristal Berrier, Becky Denton (Michael) and Tamatha Cook; and his grandchildren, Braxton, Chloe, Stefanie, Stephen, Connor, Hannah, Emerson, Katie, Andrew, Matthew and Allyson. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Shiloh Church of Lexington (943 NC-150, Lexington, NC 27295).
