He is survived by : his children, Brandy Smith-Hollman (Tad), Hannah Cockerham and Danny Husted (Elisabeth); his grandchildren, Gracie, Chloe, Skyler, Elias, Isabella, Rachel and Aaron; and his close friends, Sharon Smith, Shannon Tolbert (Bessie), Donald Ray Tysinger (Darla) and Buddy Long (Fran).

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 25th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Davidson Funeral Home - Lexington (301 N Main St, Lexington, NC 27292). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, May 26th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
