She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Hoover, Sr. and Laura Brown Hoover; her husband Dennis Earl Andrews; her son Ingemar LeGrand; and her siblings, Geneva Hoover Peoples, Nona Hoover, Essie Hoover Mack, Ruth Hoover Staplefoote, Gladys Hoover Holmes, Katy Lee Hoover Evans, Frank Hoover, Jr., John Gilmer Hoover and Baxter Louis Hoover.
She is survived by: her children, Leslie Andrews McCandies, Elliot Scott Andrews and Earl Dennis Andrews; her sister Pearline Hoover Moss; and her grandchildren, Kelly LeGrand, Andre LeGrand, Nicole McCandies and James McCandies (Megan). She is also survived by great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, extended family members and countless dear friends.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Roberts Funeral Service (701 N Main St, Lexington, NC 27292). Visitation was held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Yadkin Star Baptist Church (835 N Koontz Rd, Lexington, NC 27295). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at the same location.
