She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgie Lanier Russell and Travis Harrison Russell. She is survived by: her husband Albert Lee Cody, Sr.; her children, Albert "Al" L. Cody, Jr. (Cindy) of Lexington, Linda Cody Hale (Alan) of Mooresville and Karen C. Coe of Lexington; her grandchildren, Ladonna Hilton (Adam), Amy Goins (Darrick) and Zachary Lee Cody (Lily); her great grandchildren, Sarah Reece Hilton, Brantley Mason Cody, Georgia Caroline Cody and Jensen Cody; and her siblings, Sue Williams of Denton and Clarence Russell of Greensboro.
