She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Walser and Josie Essick Walser; her husband Thomas Young; and her siblings, Archie, Willie, Elmer, Kathleen and Pallie.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jackie Shoaf (Jerry) of Lexington and Faye Young of Lexington; her sister Wilma Leonard of Salisbury; her grandchildren, Chan Shoaf and Tiffany Koonts; her great grandchildren, Morgan Koonts and Ali Koonts; her great great grandchild Aubree Wright; and her caregivers, Jennifer Watson and Jennifer Martin.
