He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Edwin Coughenour, Sr. and Sadie Bell Grubb Coughenour; and his sister Beverly Annette Earnhardt. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Johnson Coughenour; his children, Chris Coughenour (Kristin) of Moorsville and Pamela Norris (Lee) of China Grove; his grandsons, Brody Norris and Maverick Coughenour; his stepgrandchildren, Jessica Poole, Courtney Phillips and Mercedes Phillips; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Paxton Keller and Aurora Poole.
