With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mabel James Cawley of Lexington, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 10, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Edgar James and Fannie Rachel James; her husband Bruce Beaford Cawley; and her siblings, Bowlie James, Matt James, Charlie James, Rufus James, George James, Henry James, Walter James, Bitha James, Emma Hardin, Mary Ferguson, Nan Delappe and Sarah Reynolds.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lynn Joyner (Doug) of Lawsonville, NC and Rhonda Leonard (Wayne) of Lexington; her grandchildren, Eric Barker (Kerri), Joseph Joyner (Sarah) and Mary White (Justin); and her great grandchildren, Heidi Barker, Rileigh Barker, Parker White, Hazel White, Emmaline Joyner and Holland Joyner.
